Vanessa Robinson
Vanessa was relatively free from interaction with Cord throughout most of her high school life. Sure, he took snapshots and recorded videos of her from afar and might have stolen a few things from her locker to rub all over his body while in the privacy of the girls’ bathroom, but for the most part, she was blissfully unaware of Mr. Samson’s lecherous antics. As one of the most outgoing people at school, Vanessa serves on the student council, volunteers in her community, and is well-liked and admired by nearly every group of students at school — from the in-crowders to the burn-outs to the geeks, without ever claiming true friendship or loyalty to one group over another. Since assuming the role of student council vice president, Vanessa has devoted her life to becoming an active, commendable young woman and a pillar of her community. And while she certainly cares about helping her school thrive, she has to admit to herself – and only herself – that the driving force behind her positive behavior is the attention and praise that come with it. Few are aware of this flaw in the seemingly perfect Vanessa.
Cord, whose morally bankrupt shenanigans frequently draw the ire of Ms. Robinson, is one of the few people to see a less-than-ideal side of Vanessa. Regrettably for her, the more attention Cord receives from a woman – it doesn’t matter what kind – the more he feels he has a chance with her. He’s particularly drawn to the fact that such a socially successful girl would give him the time of day –- not that he ever doubted such a girl would, of course. Deep down, he always knew Vanessa’s secret fantasies involved him, some whipped cream, and a vibrating bed. Vanessa is expectedly appalled by Cord’s sexist, perverse, and racially-insensitive ways, and realizing the threat he poses to the moral wellness of North Los Angeles High (nay the entire PLANET), she has dedicated herself to purging the campus of his deplorable misdeeds. |
